Instruction
When working with me, your learner will receive virtual one-on-one literacy instruction that is specifically designed for their goals. To achieve this, I guide families through a specific intake process. Once instruction begins, communication is a priority to provide support not only to learners, but also to families.

Intake & Assessment
We will begin with an intake call during which we will discuss your learner's current challenges, strengths, and reading habits. We will discuss both what your learner is working on at school and what you are seeing when they read at home. We will also discuss any IEP goals (if applicable) or other feedback you have received from your learner's teacher. After the intake, we will schedule an assessment session for myself and your learner to meet, during which I will administer a battery of assessments to glean more information about strengths and challenges your learner is experiencing.

Establish Learning Goals
Following the assessment session, we will touch base to establish learning goals for your learner. During this meeting, I will provide an overview of assessment results, along with the learning goals I would recommend based upon this data and what I have learned from you during intake. Once we have agreed upon learning goals, we will discuss scheduling and frequency of lessons for your learner.

Weekly Private Instruction
Now the fun begins! I will meet with your learner via Zoom at our scheduled weekly time(s) to provide individualized, one-on-one instruction to help them reach their literacy goals. Sessions are 40 minutes in length and consistent of multiple components. You can learn more about my approach to instruction here.

Consistent Communication & Coaching
Throughout my time working with your learner, one of my priorities will be consistent communication about progress and ways you can support your child's learning at home. Learning is a team effort, and I am here to support you as well as your child as we work together to unlock your child's full potential.
